Turn Up Songs, Day 7

I hope you've enjoyed my last week of Turn-Up songs.

This is a special day for me. It marks ONE WHOLE BIG GIGANTIC YEAR since I've been in London!!!

This last song is one of my all time favourite songs!

I love Kiwi music.

I love 'old' music.

I love songs with feel good lyrics.

Bringing you ..... *drum roll*.......

For Today by Netherworld Dancing Toys

Turn Up Songs, Day 6

This song is nice.

It's simple.

It makes you want to spin and be light and fly through the air.

It makes you want to sway side to side with a long flowy dress on in the sunshine.

It's Fidelity by Regina Spektor

Turn Up Songs, Day 5

This song makes me wanna get up and shake my booty!

It's fun!

It makes you feel good.

It makes you want to be able to move your hips like Shakira!

Here's Waka Waka by Shakira

You can youtube it and put Just Dance at the end of it. It'll come up with a version from some dance game! We dance along to it at work!

Turn Up Songs, Day 4

Today's song is beautiful. Pretty. Perfect. Amazing.

Covers seem to be the theme this week, but the last 2 have been amazing! And I have to share this one with you!

It's Wherever you will go by Charlene Soraia.

Turn Up Songs, Day 3

This song is crackers.

It's hilarious. It's lovely. It's arty. It's original. even though it's a cover...

This is Little Boxes by Walk off the earth.

Their covers are fab! They really make it theirs. My Mum introduced me to them, they have loads of stuff on youtube and facebook!

Turn Up Songs, Day 2

Today's song is Yellow covered by Eliza Doolittle.

She's an amazing singer and this cover is fun and beautiful. I ab-so-lut-ley am in love with this song.

It's fresh. It's fun. It's choice.

I've also just learnt it on the ukulele, which makes it even better!

Turn Up Songs, Day 1

You know those songs that you just have to turn-up? The ones your feet start bopping to, your head starts then you loose control of everything and become so engrossed in the music?

Well, I'm celebrating a week of that. When these come on on my ipod, who knows what's going to happen. I might be skipping down the street singing along, sitting in the tube when the dancing starts. You name it, it's probably happened.

Here's day one's song.

It's For a while by Stellar feat. Andy Lovegrove.

It's beautiful. The melodies, the lyrics, the whole feeling I get when I listen to it. Some of it hits home, some of it's irrelevant. Nevertheless, it's at number 1 on my list this week!
