Things I'm Loving!

This week I'm loving...

*Getting a new job! It doesn't start til September, but I will be the new nursery teacher in the deaf unit at an amazing primary school! I keep forgetting about it and then getting really excited about what I have to look forward to!*

Random art installations

Watching free outdoor theatre with friends and gin!

Seeing Tower Bridge open - second time in as many weeks!

The sky. The view. Capturing a beautiful moment.

Seeing a rainbow - I can't remember the last time I actually did see one!

Going to sing-a-long Sound of Music - I wish Julie Andrews was my friend!

And lastly, I'm loving that I've been doing lots of things this week. Soaking up London, being with friends, capturing beauty. It's those small things that matter.

One of the most exciting things to happen in London...

When I first got to London, I thought the Tower Bridge opened up to let ships through all the time. Well, it doesn't.

As the realisation set in that a cruise ship was going to leave The Thames, whilst I was on the bridge, the over-enthusiastic-I'm-claiming-that-I'm-a-tourist-in-London emotion set in.

Boy, was it spectacular!

I climbed onto the railings to get a better view, my smile was literally ear to ear, and I snapped way too many photos.

But, you know what? It could very well be the once in a life time opportunity, landing right in front of me!

The Ship - it was grand.

The people on it - they waved.

The ship - was playing a classical song for all to hear.

The people - they still waved.

A whole lotta loving!

Once again, I've been slack on the blogging front. I have a long list of excuses, but none of them quite cut it.

So here's my loving from the past month..

My friend Mel and I had a 'kiwi' night in!

I celebrated being in London for 1 year on the 26th. It is a huge milestone for me and I celebrated with style! Friends, shopping, pub, dinner, drinks and sun. Perfection.

I went to an all night PJ and movie party at Prince Charles Cinema in Soho, and as we left we walked to Trafalgar Square, down The Mall, and along the Thames.

I celebrated the jubilee weekend by seeing the flotilla and going to Hyde Park to watch the Queen's procession from Westminster to Buckingham Palace on a big screen.

And my awesome friend Jessie stayed with me for a few nights before she embarks on a new journey! I had an absolute awesome time catching up with her and acting like we were 16 again!

And I forgot to say earlier - my flatmate and I bought a trampoline! We both never had one as kids so we couldn't pass up the opportunity when it was on sale for £56 instead of £189! It's almost like daylight robbery!
And just because you've been bombarded by photos, I'll add one more.

All the pictures were edited or collaged by PicMonkey thanks to Simone's great discovery - 2 shout outs in 2 posts? lucky girl!

Procrastination

Procrastination, my dear friend.

You were there by my side all throughout university. I could rely on you to keep me up all night. You allowed me to learn useless facts about things, like elephants can't jump and pigs can't look directly up at the sky.

Now you're looming above, around and inside me, as I try and get these reports completed. I've watched the Hunger Games illegally online, I've walked to Starbucks in the hopes that being somewhere else will give me more incentive to get my work done, and look where I've ended up. Blogging.

And after seeing Simone's post about PicMonkey, I've now edited a photo I took yesterday.

So as I debate whether or not to compile the 10th to-do list today or do my work, I'll leave you to look at this picture.

Peace.
