Things I'm Loving!

♥ Loving the Peter Pan statue at Kensington Gardens, photos are here

 Loving this gorgeous card from Meghan - thanks!
I love and appreciate it more than you'll ever know! x

♥ Loving these photos. Also loving the photo book voucher that I ordered online! Can't wait to sort through my photos to make one!

♥ Loving my bike ride with my cousin. We got caught in the rain, thunder and lightning, rode down Regents Canal, hired Barclays Bikes, I managed to hit the wing mirror of a car and knock it backwards as I tried to squeeze through the gap (anyone who's been on the Barclays Bikes aka Borris Bikes, will know that they are heavy and the handle bars are rather wide!) and had delicious Mexican food from Camden Market!

I'm loving the fact that I did a lot of exercise on Tuesday and it reminded me of how I need to get back into it! Despite having bad hips, I can't actually afford to put on any weight due to PCOS. I got told that if I do I can get diabetes and my symptoms will increase loads! I want the body I had in when I was 15!

♥ Speaking of back in the day when I was 15 - I discovered my old Bebo account! What a laugh it is to look back and see what I written about myself and what people had said to/about me! You can view some of that humour here

♥ Loving the movie Bridesmaids! Highly recommend it! So so sooooo hilarious!

♥ Loving the new TV series Angry Boys. It's by Chris Lilley who did Summer Heights High. It's sooo funny! Here's a little teaser :)

♥ Loving this song, I heard the original on the radio this evening, and it totally made me think of this! SO cute!

♥ Speaking of cute kids, I was at a school the other day filling in time before the end of the day with some songs. This little 3 year old boy came up and said "I want to sing the lion in the jungle song!". So I said "Yeah of course, go ahead!" He started singing it, and by the end I had tears in my eyes. He was the cutest little thing, got half of the words wrong, had the most precious actions, and was so so sooo proud of himself! It was this song but with a lion. Makes me love my job even more!

♥ And finally, I'm loving Eliza Doolittle. She's right up there with Florence and the Machine.
You can dabble in a wee piece of her glory right here!

In Loving Memory..

Dear Grandad,

I can't believe that it has been two whole years since you've passed.
I think about you a lot and I'm so happy that you're in a better place with Gran.
I wonder what it's like up there, if you've got your own aviary and an endless supply of Gran's shortbread and whiskey?
The memories are endless and I am constantly reminded of these. I can't wait to go and see Scotland, to the place you grew up.
Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.

Reminiscing (read if you want, it's just a bit of blabber!)

For some odd reason, I thought of my old Bebo account the other night before hopping into bed.

It was totally the 'in' thing and everyone at school was obsessed! So obsessed that you'd plan to be online at 3.30pm when you'd just get home from school (after spending the whole day with your friends) and staying online until dinner time or when your allocated time slot on the family computer was over.

 Then Facebook arrived and took over the world!

After looking through the thousands of photos I had on my profile and what I had written on my 'blog' on Bebo, here's my favourite things!

And last but not least - another joke!

Three men, one American, one Japanese and an Irishman were Naked
in a sauna.

Suddenly there was a beeping sound.

The American pressed his forearm and the beep stopped. The others
looked at him questioningly.

"That was my pager," he said, "I have a microchip under the skin
of my arm."

A few minutes later a 'phone rang. The Japanese fellow lifted His
Palm to his ear.

When he finished he explained, "That was my mobile 'phone. I have
a microchip in my hand."

The Irishman felt decidedly low tech, but not to be outdone he
decided he had to do something just as impressive. He stepped out of the Sauna and went
to the bathroom.

When he returned he had a piece of Toilet paper hanging from his
arse. The othersraised their eyebrows and stared at him.

The Irishman glanced around behind and said ...

"B-jesus, will you look at that, I'm getting a fax!!!

The boy who would not grow up...

After spending a sweltering day out in the sun, I think the best part was taking these photos.

"Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning"

One word springs to mind : Magic.

"To love would be an awfully big adventure"

"Never say goodbye. Because goodbye means going away, and going away means forgetting"

"When the first baby laughed for the first time, it's laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies"

"You know that place between sleeping and awake, that place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always think of you"

"Dreams do some true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it"

"All the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust"

"Those who bring sunshine to others, cannot keep it from themselves"

All quotes are by J. M. Barrie - The creator of Peter Pan.

Favourite photos at the moment...

Here is a selection of my most recent favourite photos taken by ME!

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

The poem is called 'If' by Rudyard Kipling.

A month to remember...

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.        Helen Keller"

It started off like this...

One girl; One one-way ticket; One world waiting for her with arms open so wide the possibilities are endless.

The Tate Modern; The Mall; Buckingham Palace; Camden Town; Kensington; Tower Bridge; West End; Natural History Museum; National Science Museum; V & A.

Limited friends; limited work; life is one big adventure full of beauty.

Being away has made me see the magic and wonder that life has to offer from the lens of fresh eyes.

The opportunities are endless;

Despite missing my family and dearest friends, I'm totally loving life over on the other side of the world! But I would in a heart beat have those I love over by my side!
So for now I can look at the moon, and know that they are seeing the same moon. I can wonder as I gaze at the clouds, knowing that they will never ever be the same shape as the ones in New Zealand, but I can hope, that one day they might.

Things I'm Loving!

a song might start playing, cool if it does but it might not :)

Things I'm Loving this week

♥ I'm loving getting rained on whilst wearing a merino dress and I didn't have a cardigan/jacket or umbrella, so I end up smelling like a wet sheep to my job interview! All you can do is laugh

♥ Love love loving taking photos! I get upset now when I don't remember my camera! It's becoming a part of my everyday handbag allowance! I really want to get one of these and one of these and maybe one of these

Also loving this super cool mask, not to mention the rad purple metallic leggings, I bought for a mexican themed dress up party this weekend. I'm going for a Nacho Libre look. I haven't found a top yet, I'm going to scrounge around some cheap nasty shops for something metallic! Still trying to figure out my "wrestling" name, a few name generators have given me the options of

Spanko de Guerra or Buzz Hunter. Both a bit

lame so I'm going to work on it!

Candy Floss!
There's a little man with a little stall in the little shopping centre that's a little short walk from the little house I'm staying at. He has a little cart with lots of little jars and bowls of little nuts and lots of little bags of popcorn and little bags of CANDY FLOSS! I've been waiting until I had a £1 coin to buy some, and the day has come! You can view me enjoying it! It was so super!

I would say that I regret buying it because of how fat and yuck I feel now, but who cares? I played netball last night, and eating all that sugar with food colouring is going to be worth the headache and potential break out!

You're all in for a treat! Here it is....

My first Vlog!
I realise that it's pretty lame, but I thought it was funny! I can't record something this dorky and not show people! And I gotta get amongst it ay?!

Enjoi!

p.s I look like I've got my eyes closed most of the way through it, but when they're open they make my glasses look really thick. Ha ha!

Things I'm Lovin'!

Things I'm Lovin'

Check out my mid week lovin  :)

The rest are photographs I took on my trip to...

London Zoo

Through the looking glass.

My day on Wednesday through my looking glass.

Love the bubbles trailing behind Mr Penguin!
Don't they look so happy?

There was a butterfly enclosure thingy, and boy was that amazing!
There's something really special about butterflies that I love. Their beauty is portrayed so perfectly and they are really just precious insects. Their whole journey through life is so incredible and nothing can top that. Here's more evidence of my latest obsession-this.

This butterfly was the size of my hand!

Dory!

Piranha!

Sssssssssssnakes!

A few pictures of your Mum... Ha ha!

Cutey cutey meerkats. Notice the one top left was actually 'playing dead'!

Otters. They also make me happy :)

The quality of some of these photos have gone crud in photoscape...not sure how to not let that happen...but when they're big through picasa, they look fab!
