Things I'm Loving!

This week I'm loving THIS BEING MY 100TH POST! YIPPEE! 100 posts in 6 months (nearly exactly).... A bit addicted?

I'm loving that I have been in London for 6 months! It's so hilarious looking at the airport wait that I had and what I was doing on the day I left.

I'm loving this song (if you ever get the chance to see Luke Thompson live, please go. He's amazing)

I'm loving the weird fog we had last Sunday. The picture doesn't do it justice, it's not sun strike, you actually can't see.

I'm loving these hair straightners that have the same name as me (even if it is spelt differently!)

I'm loving this pub that has mugs and ties hanging from it's roof. And also the most delicious French wine!

I'm loving Christmas lights

I'm loving my cousin and I's little trip to the M & M shop after being at the pub...

excuse the cheese...

I'm loving my new tea towel - I'm kinda tempted to put it on my wall, not in the kitchen.

And if you're up for a bit of an immature giggle - watch this. I think it's hilarious, you can be the judge. You don't need to watch it right until the end, you'll know what to stop it!

Things I'm Loving!

This week I'm loving.....

This video clip. It has 288000 jelly beans in it!

I'm loving that this is my 99th post! Weeeee! Where has the blogging time gone? I would do a give away but I know the two people who are doing to comment!

I'm loving the post I got in the mail from my Nanna and Grandad.

I'm loving my new duvet cover which coincidentally matches my pj bottoms!

I'm loving autumn. The leaves are everywhere and are amazing!

I'm loving egg moments that have been happening lately. The latest one is when my blind wasn't straight at the bottom so I went to pull it down, and what do you know? It falls down and whacks me in the head. So I got a chair and put it back up and pulled on the blind again, which resulted in the blind falling down again and breaking the brackets. Egg fail.

Sorry for the crappy photos - I have no energy to edit them!

Egg moments

Lately I've been having some real 'egg' moments.

I made my bed the other night with clean sheets. I was wondering why the top sheet wasn't fitting the width of my bed. It confused me until last night when I realised that I had bought a single top sheet for a double bed. Egg fail.

I woke up this morning with a song from work stuck in my head. It actually goes "Every week has 7 days, 7 days, 7 days, every week has 7 days, can you name them?" (it's to the tune of London Bridge is falling down). When I realised what was actually being said in my head it sounded like this "Every day has 7 weeks, 7 weeks, 7 weeks. Every day has 7 weeks, can you name them?". Ah I'm sorry brain, but why on earth would it be ok to have a day with 7 weeks? Yikes!  Egg fail.

Yesterday I was at work talking in the classroom door to my TA whilst outside. When I finished my conversation, I turned to walk away and rolled my ankle on the concrete ramp and tore my ligaments again. Yes you heard right, again. the 3rd time in as many months. Egg fail.

Can you tell which is the fat one??
It got me thinking, that my life is full of egg moments. When that song "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" by Kelis came out, I thought it was "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard...Damn right it's better than yours, I could teach you but I'd have to do chores". It wasn't until my best friend enlightened me that the lyrics are actually "I could teach you but I'd have to charge". Egg fail.

When I first arrived in London, I met up with 2 of my friends for lunch and we went for a walk down 'The Mall'. My friend Nat was telling be about how Obama had been earlier on in that week and the UK and USA flags were up and how we should see if they still were. The whole time she was telling that story (which coincidentally had been the same week that Osama had died) I was thinking, why would they bring Osama's body to the UK let alone to London to parade down The Mall, wasn't he a baddie? Then the penny dropped. Egg fail.

Have you had any egg moments lately?

Things I'm Loving!

This week I'm loving...

This song!

Cheap dvds!

My new room! I have a gorgeous fire place!!

The love hate relationship between Tallulah and Leo.

How much Tallulah cries at the window when she's been out all day. (yes, I did stop and take a photo before I let her in!)

And how much attention she wants as soon as you get home. She'll do anything to have human contact!

This choice bike bell that I saw outside my work! If I had a bike, I'd want one like this!

Things I'm Loving!

This week I'm loving...

Dreams
I always dream. In colour. But the last few nights I've had the weirdest vivid dreams on earth!
I dreamt on Tuesday night that I was fat. Not just a little bit chubby, but so fat that I couldn't walk. My brain trying to tell me something?
I dreamt on Wednesday night that I kept spitting every where. Like every two seconds. Then I woke up and my face was saturated in my own spit!
And then on Thursday night I dreamt that one of my flat mates had put all these weird green bugs all over the walls in my bedroom. But when I woke up and went to the bathroom to shower, every shadow and mark looked like these bugs. It was sooooooo odd!!

Primark
Cheap goodness is my favourite! This week I've scored some choice pj bottoms, a gorge jersey, some brill fox gloves, and some socks!

Goats Cheese
As I'm in love with cheese, and not being able to eat dairy, things kinda sucked for a while. But never fear, I found the most yummest cheese! I can eat a whole roll in a sitting if I let myself...

This might be a sheep (I can't remember) but it's from Spitafields City Farm!

Spitafields City Farm
City farms are brilliant. Here's a few snaps from our trip there today.

Chickens are evil. I only like to eat them.

And then there's hilarious video of the pigs. Man did they snort and squeak! I snorted along and I'm certain they answered me!

Preference or OCD?

I distinctly remember in my first year of uni, being in a tutorial about maths in an early childhood setting, and how we can implement our everyday lives under this category.

I immediately said to myself. "Oh crap! I'm terrible at maths! I still don't know my times tables! What if she asks me a tricky question?!" I was surprised what things fell under this category. But this is where I became stumped.

I was one of the last to share something organised about my life, and after hearing how people make sure all their washing is hung up with the same coloured pegs, or how they have to have their tv volume on an odd/even number, keeping in mind I was 17 with hardly a care in the world, I couldn't for the life of me think of something.

So I told the tutor, "Well, I don't really think I have any sort of organisation in my life" and I just sat there waiting for her to move on. But she didn't. She poked and prodded about everything I did, to pull some organisational factor out. "What time do you get up in the morning?" "Whenever my mum would wake me up..." "How do you get to university? Surely you'd have to work out some sort of time table?" "I wait for a text from my friend who picks me up in her car and just hope I'm ready by then..." and so it went on. And in the end she gave up and I was that no-hope student who wouldn't make it past the 1st semester.

Times have changed. I now realise that I prefer to have my shower then my breakfast. I prefer to hang my socks up in pairs so they're easier to put away. I prefer to make sure I wash my hair every second day - not just when it looks like it needs a wash. I prefer to get up for work 45 minutes to an hour before I need to leave to allow time for things that might pop up...blog reading, facebook checking... I prefer to brush my teeth, wash my face, then go to the toilet before I go to bed. That is how it's done.

So are they just preferences, or have I gotten too caught up in everyday life? Now that I'm a big grown up...ahem... What are your 'OCD' things that HAVE to be done?
