A walk to remember

When the air is fresh, and the sun is shining, we walk.

When the canal is calling us, in beauty and reflections, we walk.

When the sun is descending, and our shadows start dancing, we walk.

When icons come into view, beckoning us to step closer, we walk.

When the position of the sun drops suddenly, creating beauty right before our eyes. We stop. Then, we walk.

When our time has come to carry on back home, we turn for one last look. We capture the beauty and get a fruitful reminder of how precious this place is. Then, we walk.

Have you loved where you live lately?

All photos were taken by me, can be used by me, and only me. Unless you have my permission of course.

Things I'm Loving!

Play this before you start reading - it adds a nice little touch :)

Favourite artist with favourite song - enjoy!

♥ I'm loving receiving letters in the mail! My great aunty Nell is such a dear, and often writes! She'll answer and have your letter posted the day she receives your one to her! So feel free to write me letters people :)

♥ I love the book I just finished - Heaven is for real. Despite my beliefs, I found it so intriguing, beautiful, emotional and down right amazing! Thanks Meghan for it :)

♥ This week I've been loving being away. In a tiny incy wincy little village called Quoditch, which is in Ashwater, which is in Devon!

♥ I've loved being in the middle of no where. The relaxing environment, fresh country air, the company

♥ I loved meeting family for the first time. The kind of family that you hear about all of your life, but never meet until to venture to their side of the world.

♥ I loved the photo opportunities I've had which you can see here and here.

♥ I love being crafty! Knitting and crocheting are so much fun! So is the collection of things I'm accumulating - wool, knitting needles, crochet hooks, samples of my work when I think I know what I'm doing! Ha ha.

♥ I loved the music that I listened to on the 3 hour train trip back to London. It consisted of Anna Coddington, Hootie and the Blowfish, Paulo Nutini, and then I put on a compilation called 'old school mix' that I made when I was about 15. The songs were hilarious! I let out a giggle each time a new one came on - can't believe that some of them were my favourites! Admittedly, there are a few of them that still are!

These photos are all more of my favourites from my trip!

There are a lot of nature shots, but it's so beautiful that I can't resist! I think I could make a photo garden with all the shots I've got of flowers!

Linking up with Paisley Jade....

Being in the most beautiful place followed by a panic!

Apologies for no photos on this blog post - I didn't bring my camera cord with me. Along with other important things.. Story of my life...

Apart from being the worlds worst packer and forgetting necessary things like my phone charger, conditioner, my hair brush (not that I really brush my hair anyway!) and my tooth brush charger, I have been having such a wonderful time in Devon. Note: I had to do a mad-rush-load-of-washing, because I didn't think ahead in time and had no clean undies to take on my trip. I'm 21, and I think I still need my Mum to make lists for me ha ha!

I'm staying with my mum's cousin (maybe my 2nd cousin... couldn't work it out!) and they live out in the middle of no where. The walls are too thick for me to get internet signal on my phone. Oh, did I mention they live in the most gorgeous 400 year old converted barn? Well they do!

I've seen parts of London that I NEVER would've seen. Three quaint, beautiful, picturesk *sp* SMALL towns all in one day has been the biggest treat ever! The sea air has gone to my head big time! The sun shone, the clouds shone, but it was warm and enjoyable.

I have taken over 200 photos in my 24 hours of being here. Loads from Exeter cathedral. It is SO BEAUTIFUL! I love photographing old buildings and stain glass windows so I was in my element big time here!

I'm going to do a quick upload before I go to Portugal, yes - I'm still rubbing it in!, so you can see the beauty that I've been able to live in for 3 days! I'm going to see my Great Aunty Nell tomorrow (wednesday). I am sooo excited! I've heard of her my whole entire life but never met her, as she lives in England! So tomorrow's my chance to show off her sister's (my Nanna) wonderful grandaughter ha ha! More on being wonderful in a post coming up soon!

But about the panic bit in my blog title - I checked google reader, I have 13 blogs to read in the space of 5 minutes. How am I going to get this done? How will I stay in touch with these virtual friends that I've made? I figured out the solution. I'm going to blog about not reading them, not read them until I have more time, and then I'll forget and have a BIG surprise on Thursday. This will make me late for my cousin's 30th birthday drinks, but I'm not concerned at the moment. Maybe this is my brain telling me that I've gotten too in to my blogging? Na, that can NEVER happen... Ay guys??

watch this space for beauty-ful-ness :)

I found an SD card slot - pity all my photos are on my SLR. Here's the one I have of the house off my point and shoot!

This photo DOESN'T DO IT JUSTICE!!!!

Appreciation Station

Sometimes you come across some artists that just wow you. Their ideas are mind blowing. And you finish looking at their images wishing that one day, you too, could accomplish something that amazing.

Cecelia Webber is one of these artists. I came across her website today and she's literally blown my mind.
I do have a small obsession love for butterflies, so this was right up my alley. I still can't believe how beautiful these pictures are.

It's important to acknowledge people for the things they do, like this for example. So it's going to be my new goal-to have an appreciation station each week!  Watch this space for a linky-loo to it!!
