♥ Crocheting ♥
I can now safely say that if anyone wants some crocheted circles - holla!
♥ Being practical and crafty at the same time ♥
I tend to not put things away which in turn leaves my room rather messy. So I hunted and hunted around for some cool containers to put beside my bed for all the little things that should have homes but don't. I couldn't find anything cool so I got these three plain ones. And because I was on my crafty buzz, I put two and two together and voila!
I am hoping to cover the whole container like this! And the smaller black containers are getting the circles put on them!
♥ Lists ♥
I don't know what's happened to my memory, but if I don't write something down that I need to do, I forget it! It's like having baby brain but with out the baby. Whether it be reminding myself to email somebody, buy something specific from the supermarket, or just a general thing, lists have saved my butt!
♥ Mascara ♥
Mascara is such a simple item of make-up that can change how you look very easily. I'm the kind of girl who doesn't wear make-up unless I'm going out to a club or a really nice place. But lately, a little splash of mascara here and there changes my face. And I like it!
When I was a kid, my Mum told me that if we squashed spiders it'd rain. I believed this until who knows when.
When I was a kid I was told never to lick a knife. But questioned it each time I was at my Granny and Grandad's, because Granny always did it!
When I was a kid I had the bed time of 7.30 until I started High School. I used to get teased for going to bed so early, but now I realise that my parents weren't trying to sabotage my 'coolness', they were just wanting me to have the sleep I needed! (and probably get me out of their hair earlier)
When I was a kid, I sucked my fingers until I was 16 and realised that it was a bit embarrassing!
When I was a kid I never broke a bone, just injured my self loads!
When I was a kid, I always had to sit in the middle seat in the back and get squashed by my two sisters. It was such a treat to sit by the door!
When I was a kid we always had a dog and a cat! Then there were a few fish thrown in too!
When I was a kid I had all the love and happiness that a child needs to shape me into who I am today.
Thanks Mumma and Dad! Love and miss you sooooo much! xxooxxooxx
Whilst talking with my younger sister on Facebook the other morning, we got chatting about the cartoons we used to watch. Back then it was only Cartoon Network - none of this Disney Channel and Nickelodeon business. Although, they were a hit when we got them on Saturn!
So I decided to youtube some of the traliers of these favourite shows that we had. And now, being 21 and more wise and mature (ha ha!) I cannot understand what was so appealing! But in saying that, they are still better than some of the crap that is on TV these days!
First is Cow and Chicken - odd concept, yet the idea of parents with no upper bodies having pets as their children seemed to be highly intriguing. I can still remember the jingle now!
Second is Johnny Bravo. I don't really have anything to say about this show apart from that is seems somewhat inappropriate for children!
Thirdly is I am Weasel. I think we just thought it was funny because I.R Baboon had his bum showing all the time!
Fourthly is Ed Edd and Eddy. They used to eat massive gobstoppers, so we used to buy big gobstoppers. Great role models.
And finally, Dexters Lab. Every episode had Dee Dee pushing the button and blowing something up or ruining one of Dexter's inventions. And her iconic phrase of "What does this button doooooo?"
But speaking from reminiscing, it has got me thinking.*uh oh*.
Tamagotchis. Virtual pets that had batteries that lasted years and years. You'd get woken up at 3am by that annoying beeping because they would've pooed or needed feeding.
Slap wrist bands. I remember having a furry one with a cat's head on it.
Trolls. I know these aren't strictly 90s, but I remember having these two exact ones. And my sister Alice and a big one with bright orange hair that you could press it's tummy and it's laugh. Until it got stuck and Dad threw it out in the rain because there was no way of stopping the noise! We got it back once the battery had died!
What do you remember from your childhood that is totally different from today?
Yes they have featured on my last 2 posts, but I love them!

The trick to this is to have your SLR on auto focus, have the Av settings at what ever is appropriate for the lighting, and I found it works better if you have it fully zoomed in and then zoom out when you press the shutter. You can be zoomed out then zoom in but mine turned out better starting off zoomed in!
We did loads of fun things - I swam in the Atlantic Ocean! I went to a place where they make port! I ate copious amounts of octopus and other delish seafood! I had lovely company! I bought some what I like to call Porto Poo Pants! You know those harem/hippy/really comfy pants?? Well here are mine!
Check out how low they go!
But I also love being back in London. I get to have nice snuggles with the all mighty.....
Keith!
I'm also loving my new header! I love it when you make one and you think it's real choice!
